Joseph Balaban, M.D., is a general surgeon at Tennova General Surgery – LaFollette, providing surgical care for adult patients ages 18 and older. Dr. Balaban completed his surgical residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and is dedicated to delivering personalized, patient-centered care. He performs a wide range of general surgical procedures and has special interests in gallbladder disease, appendix disease, hernia repair, colon surgery, skin cancer removal, wound care management, feeding tube placement and emergency surgery.
